Election Notice & Call for Nominations
The Punjab Engineering College Old Students Association (PECOSA) announces elections for the Executive Committee for the term 2026–2028.
The elections will be conducted as part of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of PECOSA on Sunday, 6th September 2026, at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
The election process will provide for both Online (E-Voting) and Physical Voting, enabling PEC alumni across India and overseas to participate.

All PECOSA members wishing to participate in Online Voting must complete the E-Voting Registration process.
How to Register
STEP 1
Visit pecosa.co.in and log in to your account.
STEP 2
Go to the My Profile page.
STEP 3
Under Additional Information, upload a valid Government Photo ID.
STEP 4
Click Save Changes.
STEP 5
PECOSA Admin will verify your details and approve your E-Voting registration.
STEP 6
Once approved, "verified status" will appear, you may also receive an email confirmation. Your E-Voting
registration is then complete, and you will be eligible to vote online.
IMPORTANT
Online registration for E-Voting will temporarily close at:
5:00 PM IST on Friday, 28th August 2026
Alumni who have not registered for online voting may participate through physical voting on 6th September 2026, subject to verification and production of supporting identification documents.
HOW TO FILE A NOMINATION
Nomination forms will be accepted from:
12:00 PM on 10th August 2026
until
5:00 PM on 14th August 2026
A nomination for election to the PECOSA Executive
Committee is required to be proposed by an alumnus of Punjab Engineering
College and seconded by another alumnus. The consent of the nominated
candidate must also accompany the nomination.
Completed nomination forms must reach the Returning
Officer by the prescribed deadline.
A scanned copy of the completed physical nomination form

It is not mandatory to subsequently submit the physical
form where the completed scanned nomination form has already been submitted
through the above email.

CANDIDATE PROFILE & CAMPAIGN
Final nominated candidates will be requested to submit
a 2-minute video covering:

A brief introduction about themselves
·
Their past involvement with PECOSA
·
How they plan to contribute to PECOSA over the
next two years
Candidate profiles will be uploaded on the PECOSA
website, while candidate videos will be uploaded to the PECOSA YouTube
channel.
Selected candidates may also submit their digital campaign
communication to the Returning Officer once between 23rd August and 30th
August 2026 for circulation to PEC alumni through bulk email.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VOTERS
The Electoral College shall comprise the General
Body of PECOSA, i.e. all registered alumni of Punjab Engineering
College, Chandigarh.
Each eligible alumnus shall have only one opportunity
to vote.
An alumnus who has cast their vote through the E-Voting
Portal will not be permitted to vote again physically.
Alumni participating in physical voting on 6th
September 2026 must carry valid proof of identity, such as:
Aadhaar Card | Passport | Driving Licence |
Voter ID or other valid Government Photo ID
VOTER LIST
The voter list registered on the PECOSA website,
containing Name, Batch, Branch and Email, shall be made available to
final nominated candidates on request through their registered email address
and may also be inspected at the office of the Returning Officer.
Any objection relating to the voter list may be brought to
the attention of the Returning Officer in writing or through email at:

FREE, FAIR & TRANSPARENT ELECTIONS
The
PECOSA Executive Committee Elections 2026–28 shall be conducted in a free,
fair and transparent manner in accordance with the Memorandum and Articles
of Association and Rules & Regulations of PECOSA.
In
matters relating to the identity of members and the conduct of the election
process, the decision of the Returning Officer shall be as provided under the
applicable PECOSA Rules & Regulations.
