PEC Organizes Nasha Mukti Yuva for Viksit Bharat Pledge Ceremony

Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh, organized the Nasha Mukti Yuva for Viksit Bharat pledge ceremony on 2 August 2026 in the college auditorium, reaffirming its commitment to promoting a drug-free society.

The programme was attended by Director Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Puneet Chawla, Associate Deans of Student Affairs, faculty members, and students.

The event commenced with the Nasha Mukti Pledge, followed by the live address of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, who emphasized the pivotal role of youth in realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and highlighted the Kashi Declaration as a roadmap for a youth-led movement against substance abuse.

A thought-provoking Nukkad Natak, presented by students of the National School of Drama (NSD) and volunteers, further reinforced the message of leading a healthy, addiction-free life.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a collective pledge to continue supporting the Nasha Mukti Yuva for Viksit Bharat campaign through sustained awareness and responsible action.
