Er. Harpreet S. Oberoi President, PECOSA– Major Expansion of Electricity Infrastructure in Mohali

Mohali city is witnessing a major expansion and strengthening of its electricity infrastructure to meet the growing power demand. As highlighted in the newspaper report, several initiatives are underway to enhance the capacity of the city’s power distribution network. A 20 MVA transformer in Phase-1, Mohali, is being upgraded to 31.5 MVA, while additional transformer-capacity enhancements are also being undertaken in different areas.

The report further highlights the strengthening of the electricity network in areas including Airport City, Sector 82, Sector 101, Sector 62 and other parts of Mohali, with new and upgraded transformers being added to improve the power supply.

The expansion is aimed at meeting the increasing electricity requirements of Mohali’s rapidly developing residential, commercial and industrial areas and ensuring a more reliable power supply.
